why in a transformer frequency remains constant? if frequency
is changing what will happen?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
As the secondary voltage is induced by the primary current
the frequency will follow each other. Normally the
frequency of the supply is constant so the output frequency
will remain the same.
If the supply frequency changes the output frequency will
follow this change and change also.

we maintain the frequency of the transformer is constant because if we change the frequency, eddy current loss and hysteresis loss are also be change with respect to frequency. and due to losses, it is directly affects the efficiency of the transformer.that is why we have to maintain the frequency constant.

ok......if we change the frequency in case of
transformer,,,then material or size of transformer will be
large if we decrease the frequency.and vice verca.

There are no moving parts in the transformer i.e. no relative motion. That's why frequency remains constant.
