Can the field winding in synchronous machines be placed on
stator? What is the limitation of such arrangement?

Generally the field winding is placed on rotor but it can
be placed on stator, without loss of generality however
such arrangement has limiataions.
Rotating armature type synchronous machines:
DC Field winding is placed on stator where as AC armature
winding is placed on rotor. The electrical input(in case of
motor)and output(in case of alternator)is supplied to or
taken from rotating armature respectively by means of
brush. The brush cann't be employed satisfactorly for large
ratings. So this arrangement is lmited for small rated
machines only.
Rotating field type synchronous machines:
DC Field winding is placed on rotor where as AC armature
winding is placed on stator. The electrical input(in case of
motor)and output(in case of alternator)is supplied to or
taken from stationary armature respectively.This
arrangement is suitable for large rating because it is
relatively easier to design insulation for stationary
armatrure as compared to rotating armature.

The other disadvantages are for large rating of machine
lage amount of winding is required hence if armature is
rotating large mechanical input is required to drive prime
mover and there may be large frictional losses mechanical
losses and machine must be capable of withstanding large
amount of centrifugal forces.

My switchgear busbar is rated at 2000A and just imagine the actual load on busbar is 1000A. From that busbar there are 10 outgoing feeders. Now the question is will the load be 1000A on each outgoing feeder or 100A per outgoing feeder. 2nd thing how do i calculate the load on individual feeder. Thanks for your time. Please provide some clarification on this issue.

I have connected 04nos. earthings to a transformer through 04nos. earthing pits seperately. 02nos. earthings are connected to T/F body, and 02nos. earthings are connected to T/F neutral.T/F capacity is 2000KVA, 11KV/415V. But after completing of 02 years successful operation ,we are facing following problems- 1. CT/PT occured blast one time 2. HT cable box occured blast two times 3. One body earthing strip and one neutral earthing strip of transformer are overlapping at some places. Whenever these two strips are pressed at overlapped points, they made spark. What is the reason of spark? Please explain the reason & rectification of above problems
