what is actual CAL MODE & cal means?

CAL MODE, normally during transmitter calibration or
maintenance, we used to put it in CAL mode which give its
last value as a reference value for the controller. So that
we can calibrate or do maintenance for our transmitter
without any disturbance to the process controller

CAL Mode used in instrument/sensor/transmitter maintenance/repair/calibration time.In that time we can give some reference value which is for normal control operation.
Calibration means sensor/transmitter response calibration for required range.
