What is the difference between auto & dumpy level..

Auto Level & Dumpy level are the types of levelling instruments. Dumpy level is the older version, in which the staff is visible in riverse direction. Where as the auto level is newer version of Dumpy level in which the staff Reading is visible normally.

You have to centre & level the Dumpy Level using the screws
while Auto Level automatcally levels itself.
