First we understand how does it function. If you have
created Bank GL and there you have used 001 (posting date)
as sort key then whenever you make entry for that bank Gl
your sort key "Posting date" is automatically updated
in "Assignment" field unless you manually insert anything
in assignment field.

1) 001 - Posting Date
2) 002 - Document No by fiscal year.
3) 003 - Document Date.
4) 012 - Vendor Number.
5) 031 - Customer Number.
6) 027 - Value Date.
7) 018 - Asset No. etc,.....

it's for shorting the the main characteristics of the document of the specific GL,Suppose enduser is making normal document like rent a/c or cash a/c then it will be 001(posting date, if it's related with vendor number(012).

I need to create a GL account but I encounter an error . No PCA00L statement account type is defined chart of accounts CA00. So I try to maintain the retained earnings account in OB53 but I still encounter an error that I need to create an account first in FSP0 before I can maintain the retained earnings account. How should I proceed with this issue. Thanks!
