tol r setting should be 80% of tripping current b'cos thermal effect in bimetalic conductor strips starts heating from 80% and then after few 4-5 minutes at 100% trip or actuated

We have 2 no. 4MW DG set. and GEB supply. But, we running, only 1 DG set. when we done APFC/Power factor setting : 0.90, then winding temp. Low. but when setting done : 0.83, then Winding temp. increase. WHY Why ? ? ?, plz give me answer.

our scope called one core cable for distribution system so we like to use 4 core cable with one equipment grounding conductor so what kind of technical reasons i can say that the 4core is better then 1 core,
