Invoice is the document which you send to your customers for payment which includes
Type Of Material
Quantity
price etc
where as Billing document is a document which is prepared in system to Bill the customer for the materials delivered to customer.

Billing = Accounts Payable = Goods/Services Received from
Suppliers.
Invoicing = Accounts Receivable = Goods/Services Delivered
to Customers.

party\" entities at different times.
