Invoice is the document which you send to your customers for payment which includes
Type Of Material
Quantity
price etc
where as Billing document is a document which is prepared in system to Bill the customer for the materials delivered to customer.

Billing = Accounts Payable = Goods/Services Received from
Suppliers.
Invoicing = Accounts Receivable = Goods/Services Delivered
to Customers.
Given as SAP Contract Accounting permits a partner/entity
to be both, or to switch between being creditor and debtor,
bills and invoices may well apply to the same \"third
party\" entities at different times.
