Differance between field status variant and field status group..

The field status of an individual field or a group of fields
is marked in a field status group which is then assigned to
individual gl account master records. you may attach field
status groups to a field status variant so that the field
staus groups are used in various company codes.

the field status variant is named similar to the company
code. for example, if your company code is 1000. the field
status variant is also named 1000 and it is assigned to the
company code.

Field status variant is at client level first we will
create the FSV and assign it ot FSGroup.

This field status group controls the fields which are there
in GL transactions which means which fields are
required,optional,suppressed at the time of posting.
Because in general there are no of fields while posting a
document so we can't provide all fields also will get
confusion.

This FSG is at company code level..

Group of fields is called field status group.Field status
group is mandatory to define which field are display while
posting the transaction into GL account.

Field status variants is a group toghter of field status
group, you can assign field status variant to each company
code.
