If a 3 phase transformer is a 500 kva using the formulae
500kva= 500000/433 x 1.732 = 666.71amps does this mean that
each phase on the secondary side is 666.71

Answer / k.prakashchandra
The VA per phase is (500/3 KVA) 166.67 x 1000 , phase
voltage is(433/1.732) 250 V.Then current in each phase is
166670/250= 666.68 A

The value 666.71 A gives the current rating i.e the maximum
current that the transformer secondary winding (each phase)
can withstand.The operating value may be less than or equal
