Hi,
here are some prerequisites for HOMOGENEOUS SYSTEM Refresh
1. match OS, SAP, Database versions, and Verify filesystem
space with source & target system, check TSM session
availability, source tape backup must finish before starting
refresh
2. export user master record
3. Create RFC export dump
4. Move source database backup file & log file to target system
5. Verity the init<SID>.utl file
6. Modify sidchange.sql file in Target system
etc.
for RFC: in target system no need to create manually all
RFCs. just follow below steps.
for export RFCs (before refresh start)
Execute command from <SID>adm R3trans -w exp_rfc.log rfcexport
usually we are using it in $home/<sid>adm/rfcbackup location.
for import RFCs after refresh completed
Import RFC’s from Unix level by user <SID>adm
Execute command as mentioned below:
location: $home/<sid>adm/rfcbackup
R3trans -w imp_rfc.log rfc_import
Best of luck..
Rishi
