LOSS ON DRYING of compound with lower melting point can
anlysed by using VACUUM OVEN TECHNIQUE and LOSS ON DRYING
of compound with high melting point can anlysed by using
ORDINARY OVEN TECHNIQUE

Generally under vacuum conditions the boiling points of solvents decress so if we use LOD under Vacuum instead of normal LOD there is a probability to reduse some solvents i think it is also efects in analysis of Resedual solvents by GC

Normal LOD : this method prefered. the melting point of the sample is greter than the boiling points of the solvets used and water for the product synthesis.
Vaccume LOD : this method prefered. the melting point of the sample is less than the boiling points of the solvets used and water for the product synthesis.
Because of solvets will evaporate less temperature in vacuum than Normal
