WINDINGS ARE WOUNDED ON THEM
WE CAN USE THIS TRANSFORMER WHERE WE WANT REDUCE THE THE
SUPPLY VOLTAGE AND ALSO INCREASE THE VOLTAGE.

In auto transformer
we can reduce the amount
of copper but in the case of
normal 2 winding t/r
require more copper for
winding
and also there is lot of
losses in normal transformer
