why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / vinod singh

current coil is connected in series so that its resistance
should be as minimum as possible otherwise there will be
voltage drop and power loss during normal working condition.

why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / anindita

current coil is connected in series with the load whereas
pressure coil is connected parallel to the supply, that is
pressure coil is connected across the voltage source.
current coil have lesser number of turns than the pressure
coil so that the impedance of the pressure coil increases
and it draws minimum current from the circuit, causing lesser
error in the reading.

why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / kundanmalani1990

bcz the CT are connected to the series in supply line so
that high current pass through the line and high current to
absorbers to CT so current coil has less number of turns
compared to pressure coil !!!!

why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / ansuman

current coil have to measure current ; to achieve it less resistance is given by providing less number of turns in current coil.

why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / raju kumar

this is because, current supplied to the load may be more and more and wattmeter may get current reading of power supplied

why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / raj kumar

Current coil connected in series with the load.in series circuit current is same and voltage different.if we are increasing the number of turns in the current coil as like pressure coil number of turns.
First load current only passes through the current coil because series circuit.so current increases automatically voltage drop will increase.so error will occur.it will not show the correct reading.

why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / nithi

IF CURRENT COIL IS PROVIDED WITH MORE NO. OF TURNS,THEN IT
WILL DROP MORE VOLTAGE ,AS IT IS CONNECTED IN SERIES WITH
THE LOAD.

why current coil has less number of turns compared to pressure coil?..

Answer / mr. utsav jain

bcz current coil connected in series and the pressure of the current coil is very high so it will produce large voltage drops.
in parallel condition obtain the high voltage large no of turns.
