Is there any difference between "Blocked Stock" and "GR
Blocked Stock"?
I read that: GR Blocked Stock is always non-valuated, while
Blocked Stock inventory can be Valuated. Is this true?
Please explain this while answering if the two terms are
same or different.

GR blocked stock & Blocked stock both are two different terms
When customer received material just by visual inspection he observed some damage then that material is post to GR blocked stock using movement type 103, it means goods receipt is not created & that's why that stock is not company owned stock & that is unvaluated stock. Company is not liable to pay for that material.
When customer receives material after creating goods receipt at the time of quality inspection found damage in material then that material is posted to blocked stock and as when stock is booked valuation along with quantity already takes place this material is valuated stock.

GR blocked stock-
there is an updation in sap according t which GR blocked stock can also be received as valuated throw mynt 107 and if you don't want it as valuated then mynt 103
the difference is you use GR blocked stock at the time of doing GR if your quality team has found that material is of poor quality or there are some issues with material then they put it in the GR blocked stock and after having talk with vendor they release it to unrestricted stock or they send it back to the vendor
block stock-
this material are already there no GR is happening in this case but for some material which are already there in the unrestricted stock the quality team founds there are some issue with the material then they put it in quality or blocked stock then it may be send for sampling purpose, no GR is happening here but in the case of GR blocked stock we are rec goods from vendor

Blocked stock is Valuated Stock where as GR Blocked Stock is Non Valuated. The 2 terms are different.Due to some reasons, the Stock is not checked or physically inspected, for that We keep that Stock to GR Blocked Stock in Movement Type-103,which is itself a Non Valuated. After Inspection Stock may be sent to Unrestricted Use or to the Blocked Stock. So,Movement Type is 105 for Unrestricted Use from GR Blocked Stock & Movement Type 107 for Block Stock from GR Blocked Stock. So,Blocked Stock itself a Valuated Stock.Thank you.
