The ac motor have input alternating both +ve and -ve cycle the dc supply only one +ve cycle so does't work in dc supply

The AC motors are haveing a less resistance so,it will be
operates in only AC supply.In case of by giving DC supply
field windig is burn,after that motor is damaged.
