Answer / kishore kumar
T/f must not be connected to dc. bcoz if the PW of a t/fis
connected to dc supply mains, the flux produced will not
vary but remain constant & therefore no emf will be induced
in the SW except at the moment of switching on. thus the
t/f can not be used for raising or lowering the dc voltage
$ also no back induced emf in PW and therfore a heavy
current will be drawn from the supply mains whcih may
result in the burning out of the PW

Nothing noticeable. DC power is not transmitted between the
coils of a transformer. There would be no current on the
other side of the transformer, unless the power of the
source was constantly modulated. bescause flux does not
change its state.
after some time excessive heat is produced and winding may
burn

as dc supply does not produce back emf ,the current wii be
equal to volage/ dc resistance which is very low

Answer / vinod g
IF DC APPLIED ,only winding resistance coming across the
supply, remeber big transformer has ohmic value less than
one, so definetly the PRIMARY WDG will BURN OUT.

Answer / b.sivayya
transformer is not connected to dc.in dc there is no
frequeny.there no changes in frequency and dc is given to
primary there flux is produced but these flux is not
change.so there is no back emf so the secondary current is
equal to primary current so large current is flows through
the windings .so the winding is burn..

Answer / raul
if a dc supply is applied across a transformer, there will
b no transfer of power from primary to secondary through d
core bcoz by applying dc there will no change in flux and
hence no emf produced in d primary by self-induction, no
magnetisation of the core and hence no emf in d secondary
by mutual induction.......so overall there will be no
transformation of energy from primary to secondary

Answer / abhinav dhiman
because flux will not change and hence e.m.f will not
induced, which opposes the applied voltage, and max. current
will flow and hence binding will burn

Answer / siva
dc power is not transmitted b/w the coils of the transfrmr there would be no current on the side of the transformer unless the power of the source

Answer / shalini m
IF DC supply is given to transformer, there will be no
change in flux and there would be more leakage current in
the primary windings and hence the windings of the
transformers may burn out
