Why DP transmitters are subjected to high static pressure
test of 100 bar. Though they will be used for very small
pressure range

Answer / hiren
dp transmitter is used to measure DP but the pressure
applied across diaphargm is actual process pressure. so if
any one get fail then transmitter should not fail.

Static Pressure is done on DP transmitter because of check
if the transmitter can withstand the static pressure acting
due to Line Pressure when in process. The Line pressure can
be 100 bar but the DP that is measured on transmiter can be
as small as 1000 MM H2O.

Answer / mhakave rajesh
it's span of measurement may be less eg 0- 5 bar,but
pressure acting on single side either of hp or lp (i.e.
process side pressure) may be high, so to check zero of tx
at such operating pressure it is........ so and so.

This is DP transmeter high static preesure of 100 bar.
Small range will be used 10 mbar. but span range very low
Accuracy will be poor.
