MCB is miniature circuit breaker which is thermal oprated
and use for short circuit protection in small current
rating circuit. MCCB is moulded case circuit breaker and is
thermal operated for over load current and magnetic
operation for instant trip in short circuit condition.
Under voltage and under frequency may be inbuilt. Normally
it is used where normal current is more than 100A.

MCB - miniature circuit breaker
1) we can use it upto 100A
2) thermally operated and used for short circuit/ overload protection
3) trip current / trip characteristics not adjustable it is fixed
MCCB - moulded case circuit breaker
1) we can use it above 100A
2) used for short circuit/ overload protection
3) thermal trip protection for over load current
4) magnetic trip protection for short circuit ( instant operation )
5) trip current / trip characteristics is adjustable
