u can consider 0.8 A / Sq mm
eXAMPLE
50 X 6 CU busbar
50x 6 = 300 x 1.4 = 420 A
It is suitable for 420 A capacity
50 X 6 Al busbar
50x 6 = 300 x 0.8 = 240 A
It is suitable for 240 A capacity

load is the major thing to determine busbar..
aluminium bus bar
Amps=1.2x area.............. if busbar size is 50x6 means
we can allow 360 amps
copper bus bar
approximately amps=area

i work as a technician at a private company.. i used to take amp reading for certain appliances such as air con.. the problem is when i clamp the neutral, wire there is a current reading.. from my understanding for single phase system neutral should not have current unless if the circuit is not complete.. yet the air con still work
when we r using single phase load and we have power cable of 3.5core with .5 of neutral and neutral is suppose to the returen path of the phase how much current will flow in the neutral.reply.
