While elctrical load on DG,capacitor banks kept off why so?
If capacitor banks on is their any effect DG?

Answer / arvind
because D.G. is designed for 0.8 lagging power factor, that
is why capacitor is off, now if you switch on the capacitor
then power factor will improve, but it depends upon the
load. if the load is less & capacitor bank rating is more
mens not designed as per the load attached to the D.G. the
power factor will become power because instead of lag it
will lead.

Answer / sheikmohammedoli
it is because of the capacitor bank stores some charges
itself when we are connect that to dg it cause some spikes
thats why we are notonnecting capacitor bank to the dg

Answer / thanigai1984
IF DG runs means we switched OFF the capacitor bank...
because it produce leading power factor ... on that time
capacitor bank act as a load ... it produces losses

when we use Capacitor bank with D.G set There is more
voltage generated up to 500 v & also Power fector Incresed
Line current also incresed
