Outbound process- the process of making calls to the customer.
Inbound customer - The process of receiving calls from the customers.
Outbound is the one in which u call the customers for marketing/research or polls. There is a good chance that the outbound might not yield you good returns unless u turn around customers.
eg: Credit card dept of any bank
Whereas Inbound deals with answering the customers' calls. something like helpdesk. Inbound is a safer way to run a BPO as u r assured of payments.
eg: Vodafone customer care operations

An outbound call center is one in which call center agents make outbound calls to customers on behalf of a business or client. Calls made from the center can include telemarketing, sales or fund-raising calls, as well as calls for contact list updating, surveys or verification services.
An inbound call center is one that exclusively or predominately handles inbound calls (calls initiated by the customer) rather than outbound calls. A call center may handle either only inbound or outbound calls or might deal with a combination of the two.

Hi Friends, Can anyone send me a Six Sigma question bank with answers on my email id : apexin2009@gmail.com. I am a quality manager in a Mulitnational Company. I have to design a question paper for my already trained green belts and black belts. I had a great knowledge base on six sigma at my home pc but since the mother board has gone bad and it has gobe for repair, I am not able to design a question paper.
