1) Copmressive strength means what is the load take by
concerete in compressive zone. According to our IS
Standarad in m20 grade concrete it takes 13.5n/sqmm in 7
days and 15 n/sqmm in 28 days. this test is carried out by
compressive test machine. it is usally consist of 150cmsq
cube.
2) Tensile strength means strength at tension zone. i think
you can understand what is tension zone and what is
compression zone.20mm bar can take 2300kg/cmsq in tension
zone
3) cracks are diffrent type. Whather it is surface crack or
deep crack. surface crack is happening where cement use
high then their ratio. deep crack happening in where wall
are bend due to load.

1)Compressive strenght of 150x150x150mm cube tested after
28 days curing it is N/mm2.
2)Tensile strenght of steel is testing a steel bar in lab
using UTM machine it will cut a certain stage it is denotes
Fe415,500etc, Fe means Ferrous 415 means tensile strenght
in N/mm2
3)The following factors to happening cracks in wall:
Grade of cement, mix proportion, curing, workmenship and soil
settlement

Answer / piyush singh
1) compressive strength of concrete cube of size 150*150*150
for M20 is > 20n/mm^2 (should be above 20 and in no case <)
M30 is > 30n/mm^2
2) tensile strength of mild steel is 250 n/mm^2 (limit state)
and in working stress 150 n / mm^2
HYSD bars strength is 415 , 500 n/mm^2
HTS bars is 1200 n/mm^2 and for others hts tensile
strentgh is stress corresponding to 0.2 % of strain known
as proof stress
3) cracks in wall occurs due to various action of weather
freezing thawing
sulphate attack
lower grade of bricks
plaster not well cured

Compression means whenever a external load is acting on a specimen like a wooden blocks or a brick or a concrete block.when the load is acting above there capicity it's will break.
Tension means whenever a specimen like iron bar is taken and we apply some opposite forces then the bearing capicity is known as tension
