I am facing one problem in my layer 2 switch I don’t know
the problem is on switch side or client side. The problem is
some PC (not all) are stop participate in LAN they don’t
send or recd. Packet from switch and if I check RJ45 (with
LAN tester)from PC side the packet and 8 pin wire is working
fine and after that process of LAN tester I plug RJ 45 in PC
now PC start recd/ send packets what is the problem I don’t
understand even client side no virus found RJ45 is ok and
switch has no problem bcoz other PC is working fine Cable
(cat 5 ) is also fine bcoz I didn’t crimp again just check
in LAN tester and start working fine. Plz any one solve this
matter. And after lan tester process pc is working fine and
after 2 or 3 hour it again start same problem and again same

hi shyam sorry for late reply.this problem is quite simple and there is no any fault with u r cable so donot go towrds the wrong direction
look this problem occurs due to high trafic on the partucal port.
How
look when ever you are removing the cable and tested through lan cable the problem get solved for 2to 3hr hrs right?
the cause is that when ever there is high trafic on the prticular interface the switch port get block when you reomve the cable all tarfic drop and it start working fine.
now what is the soulution-
there are some causes for this type of prob
take these steps
virus on the particular system
(1) the hight trafic might be due to virus so please scan the system with good antivirus.
(2)looping may be cause(in some cases)-
check all the cable be assure that there is no any cable looped in the network and also veryfied that stp is runing over the switch if it is not running enable the stp on the switch
(3)port are not functing well?
change the switch port for the sytem and let see
(4) if this all is not working take another 8 port switch/hub and connect it to the layer2 switch and then connect the system cable from the 8 port switch/hub
This might be solve the issue or else it will give u time to think and me too
this is some defalut cause of that prob check it out and let me know
