It is an electrical device which has certain melting point
vlaue accordind to the rated current of the wire. If the
current in the wire exceeds the rated current the fuse
melts thus stopping the faulty current and avoids short
circuit in the device and performing healthy operation in
the device.

it is made up of low melting point wire. when current
exceeds the rated value,the wire gets melted due to which
fuse disconnect the ckt.thus we get satisfactory operation
of devices
