yes we can generate profile manually by using su02 and then
assign it to the UMR . but in SAP it is not recommended.
b/c 'pfcg_time_dependency'while performing user comparison
will remove this profile when it will find that this
profile is not associated with any role.

we can't assign a generated profile to user directly,we
have to as the role associated with that particular profile

the best practise is not to assign profile to a user master
record.But then we can assign...

check it for example,assign sap_all to a user master
reocord and can actually work..

so, yes a profile can be assigned to user and can work.

Vamshi,

SAP_ALL is a predefined composite role. It is not
recommended to assign profiles to user master record.
However SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW are still used. Except this no
other generated profiles will work in manual assignment.

Not possible. system will throw the error: "XYZ" is a generated profile. Assignment is therefore impossible.
