two bolbs of 100w and 40w respectively connected in series across a 230v supply.which bolb will gl..

Answer / dinesh dafare

40 w bulb is high resistance approximately 1322 ohms and
100 e bulb is low resistance approximately 529 ohms .
Hence in series circuit voltage divide and current same.
Hence current required to 40 w is less than 100w so 40 w bulb is brighter

two bolbs of 100w and 40w respectively connected in series across a 230v supply.which bolb will gl..

Answer / devansh

100 watt as
by the formula p=i^2r
p is directly proportional to r
i.e more power more resistance hence,100 watt will glow brighter

two bolbs of 100w and 40w respectively connected in series across a 230v supply.which bolb will gl..

Answer / devansh

cont. my answer all above are wrong as the formula used is
p=v^2\r which is used in parallel as v remain contant while
taking p is inversely proportional to r and it happen in
parallel
so 100 watt

two bolbs of 100w and 40w respectively connected in series across a 230v supply.which bolb will gl..

Answer / avinash

100 W bulb will be more brighter because same current will
enter in both of them but since the wattage of 100 W bulb
is more it dissipates more enery in form of heat and light
this is law of conservation of energy phenomenan

two bolbs of 100w and 40w respectively connected in series across a 230v supply.which bolb will gl..

Answer / rohitsainirohitji

both bulb will glow equally .Because current entering in
both nbulbes is equal since they are connected in series
