first convert HP to KW (ie)1HP=0.75kw approx. from that u
can got KW valu then by using normal formula ie) kw=root 3
v i cos pi, u calculate KVA.

1 HP = 746 watts/motor designed PF = motor rating in KVA
for 50 HP motor = kva rating = 50 * 746/.85(say) = 44 KVA
