above answer is correct and the reason is coronal occurs
only in air at high voltages because of ionisation of air
around the conductor.

corona doesnot occur in induction motors because for corona to occur it is necessary that a certain p.d must be created between the wires for ionisation of the medium. But in case of induction motors the electrical wirings are insulated from each other thus preventing any corona which would lead to short circuits.

High Voltage motors are Induction Motors and in HT motors we are putting conducting tape over the slot area of a coil to reduce the corona effect and semi-conducting tape at the slot end portion of the coils.....
