Water absorption is more than 25% in brick, Bricks are not
properly burnt have many voids in it for that seepage is
very high. it easily breakdown.

If the percentage of absorbtion exceeds 25% ,it indicates
that the brick is more porous and less in weight and could
not attain the required specific weight of 1920kg/mt3

If water absorption is more than 25 % in bricks,it will
absorb the water from the mortar,making mortar dry.so
mortar will become weak and so the massonary.
