two transformers are separated by concreted wall becuase of
when any fault occurs which results in fire on any one of
transformer it protects the healthyone transformer.

If the distance between the transformers is more than the
requirement then firewall will not be required as per IER
1956 standards.
There is a minimum distance laid down in IEC1956 based on
the capacity, voltage rating of the transformers

Any two transformers in a plant/substation are always
seperated by a concrete wall known as BLAST WALL, (Blast
walls are generally 1000mm+ bigger the size of larger
transformer) It is protect the healthy transformer from
fire, incase the other one is on fire due to short-
circuit/oil leakage etc.

Answer / shaji samuel
Two Transformers aside should be supperated by concreted
wall because through blast wall we prevent the two
transformers with each other fault, shortcircuit sparks, and
due to the blast of the oil tank of the transformer then we
can prevent the safe one transformer.

It is fire wall, during fault condition if transformer at
fire it should not spread to other equipment/buildings.
As per IS, the thickness should be 350mm brick wall/230mm
concrete wall. Height of the wall shall be decided based on
the height of x'frm

If an electrical component has a positive temperature coefficient, how come such components have high power losses due to heat if current decreases when resistance increases? assuming power given by I^2*R whereby the Resistance is infinite.
why we are using Load factor?
i have a 4 Mva transformer 34.5 kv / 480-277 v and i used 2 parallel 3200 amp bus duct for the secondary feeder using 3 ply of bus bar ( 3/8" x 5" ) as a common where the flexible link terminated and 6300 amps breaker for the main, the lower bus duct reaches 70 degrees and the upper bus duct reaches 55 degrees when i used thermal scanner. why the temperature is not balance when the load reaches 3600 amps.
