If the transformer is old than with out testing it we can't
say the loss, becuase with time detoriation of metal
occours there fore core and copper losses increases. to
know the losses we have to arrange open circuit and short
circuit tests.

copper losses are zero ideally but iron losses are constant

while grounding the galvenized metallic structures is it necessary to remove the galvenization at the point of contact? Or other wise is the galvenizatio a good conductor?
