Answer / p.h.deshmukh
Deduct concrete cover and deduct 1 x dia. (for bend of
other than 90 degree) or 2 x dia. (for bend of 90 degree)
for single bend as applicable from Drawing length of bar.

Answer / shan ummer
Cutting length of steel
L= length of structure
H = height
c = clear cover
d = dia of bar( steel)
In cuttting lenth of footing steel
L+H-(6*50mm)+d+(2*2*d)
please check the above method is it correct

Answer / satya.mvvs
it depends on dia, angle of bends and elongation of bar.
Generally it can be calculated as
Effective Length (L) of Bar - No of bends x 2d or 3d
For 45 degrees angle it may considered as 2d and
for 90 Degrees it may considered as 3d
In practically it may be applicable to higher dia bars only
(Above 12mm)

50 times diameter of the rod
lap lenght ex: 20 mm rod lap length - 50*20 = 1000/300= 3.33
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 13 Yes | 17 No |
Answer / surender reddy
Ex: length = 1.5mts
cover =50mm
l bend = 300mm
ans:= 1.5-(2x50)-2(2xd)-d
