How to calculate cut bar length of steel reinforcement?
Answer Posted / satya.mvvs
it depends on dia, angle of bends and elongation of bar.
Generally it can be calculated as
Effective Length (L) of Bar - No of bends x 2d or 3d
For 45 degrees angle it may considered as 2d and
for 90 Degrees it may considered as 3d
In practically it may be applicable to higher dia bars only
(Above 12mm)

While those of the second are respectively 0.18m and 3.5m. Plot the distribution of vertical stress intensity due to walls on a horizontal plane, 1m below ground level. The walls have negligible depth of foundation and are made of brick masonry (y = 19.2 kN/m cu)
