Advantages:
1) Induction motor is less expensive motor with quite simpler construction.
2) Its a very rugged motor which require less maintenance.
1 phase induction motor is a non self starting motor while 3 phase induction motor is a self starting motor. Also 1 phase induction motor is quite noise machine as compare to 3 phase induction motor.

the advantage of induction motor:-
1} smoller in size.
2} light in waight.
3} less maintaning cost.
4} easy to repair.
5} less sparking produced.
6} it is cabonless.
the diffrence between 1-phase and 3-phase induction:-
1} 1-phase winding created in 1-phase I.M.&three phase
winding created in the 3-phase I.M.
2} changing magnetic flux produced by 1-phase I.M.&
rotating magnetic flux by 3-phase I.M.
