My requirement is 1VA,50/5A Current Transformer for
Metering .If I select 15VA , 50/5A CT.Is there any
possibility of Technical Problem ?

Absolutely no problem.you can always use higher burden CT'
without any problem

Hi ,
Yes there is . and a highr rated VA is never recommented
for metering ( again it depends the accuracy but still not
used as per IEC)
Note:The accuracy class will not be guaranteed for burdens
above rated burden or below 25% of the rated burden.Check
IEC 60044
Amd more interstingly , we are allowing or excepting to
saturate this metering core during fault to protect the
metering Equipment reff. IEC 44

no problem at all when we increase the burden . But It
should be noted that the current ratio should not be
increased, since it leades to sensing problem which inturn
hinders the metering values.

No problem.
Bcaz CT is an Instrumental Transformer(i,e.,Measurement of
High rating current) to measure only Current.
So there will be no of tapping for each range of current. So
that it will easily sense the rating which u set.
Here both your current rating is same.so no problem at all,
even if the voltage varies.

50/5 1va is suitable for bar primary ct if you go for
higher 15 va then it is good to opt wound primary ct{WPL}
OTHERWISE THE SIZE OF THE CT WILL INCREASE
