What do you mean by pf of a generator? Power factor purely
depends on the load (wether inductive, reactive or unity)
then what does the pf mentioned on the generator nameplate
means?

Kw= 1.732X Voltage X Current X pf. in these parameters only
current and pf are variable. The current limitation given on
the DG set is at that pf. if pf increases the current will
get decreased for the same KW. so you should monitor the
same pf as mentioned of DG set name plate or else you should
reverse calculate the current limitation at your load pf and
monitor the DG set no to get overloaded.

I try this,
see, power factor is the percentage of resistive load in the
total circuit.as the power factor is one it indicates the
pure resistive which is real in number which can be
converted to the what ever the real energy we want like
rotatory motion etc...

power factor is the cos angle between voltage¤t.using
that nameplate pf value u can find kw capacity of a
generator for its kva rating(formula,p=sqrt3*v*i*cospi.).if
you are connecting pure resistive load means power factor
is unity,so the pf of generator will incrase from its name
plate value.capacitive load also incrase the pf of
generator.inductive load will decrease pf value.so the
average of resistive,inductive,capacitiveload pf ,name
plate pf will give final output pf of generator.
