We Create logical system in R/3 system by using transaction
code bd 54 or in SALE.

we will assign logical system name in SLD for business ystem
from where we communicate uisng channel for processing.
after adding in SLD when editing the buusines system we see
dapter specific attributes in BS there by clicking hand
button we get the logical system name which was created in R/3.

You can create logical system name in R/3 sytem using the
Tcode BD64 or SALE.
In XI system, we need to configure it in SLD in Business
sytem.
