FOR D.C MOTORS:
When a current carrying conductor is placed in a
magnetic field, a force acts on it.
FOR A.C MOTORS:
When a current is passed through stator winding, an
alternating flux created on the stator winding which in
turn cuts a rotor winding(wire wound motor)/short circuited
copper bar(squirrel cage motor), then a current flows
through it and as above one motors works.
Is it correct or not?

Normally, the electrical motors are working based
on the faraday's law. [WHEN A CURRENT CARRYING CONDUCTOR
SHOULD CUT THE MAGANETIC FLUX MEANS A EMF WILL BE PRODUCED].
Stator Winding: Produce maganetic flux,
Rotor Winding: Is a current carrying conductor with shaft.
When a supply is passes through the rotor winding means,
it's cut the flux which is created by the stator winding.
At that time the EMF will produced,The shaft which is
connected to the rotor should start run.

two types of motors... AC and DC
basically motor works on the princviple offaradays law of
elecrto magnetic induction..ie;when a current carrying
conductor is placed in a magnetic field theconductoer
experiences a mechanical force(torque)... in dc motor the
field system is the stationary part .when the armature
containing copper bconductors in the slots is placedin the
magnetic field and is connecting to the dc mains, a torque
is experienced in the armature conductors and due to the
combined effect of this torque in each conductors armature
begin to rotate...thus here electrical supply energy is
converted into mechanical rotational energy

Normally the motors works on the principle of Faraday's law and Lenz's law. There are two types of motors namely DC and AC motors.
In DC motors, the stationery part carring manetic flux is called field and the rotating part is called armature.when the current passes through the field and armature,a rotating driven force(called torque) is acting on the armature.Due to this the motor rotates.
Here the given supply is AC. Commutator is a device which converts AC to DC.In AC motor, commutator is not required and field is replaced by the name stator and armature by rotor.
