At Inspector level, Income tax inspector job is not that
charming now a days. Corruption money is much for a Senior
Tax Assistant or Tax Assistant than to a Income Tax
Inspector. But once you learn the act and rules and get
promoted to Income Tax Office after almost 9 years you are
in the best position of your cadre. You earn in crores. So
have patience till you become income tax officer and then
you will be in one of the best jobs in india.

I guess in 2006 exam there is not much vacancy in scheme B
as that exists in 2005 exam which was told as 1200.
I think this year scheme B will have less than 1200 seats
but i hope it should be >1200.

I think scheme A will have somewhat 1000 vacancies and
scheme B will have somewhat 300 vacancies for GENERAL
candidates.

Am i correct friends?...I wish i am not.there should be
more more (>1500 in scheme A and >700 in scheme B)
