dc is more dangerous than ac...
in ac the current passes through zero in 100 times per sec.
when frequency is 50hz...
in dc they have no freq. so current not passes through zero..
when u get a socked ac leave u to 100 times in sec.but dc
does not leave u.

Both are dangeruos but DC is more dagerous than AC because
AC is alternating current & flow of sine wave & once a cyle
is zero and maximum for take reference line, but DC is
direct current & not fraction of time period for reference
line and DC flow of state line,so DC is dangerous.

dc is more powerful because it doesnt leave you
but grabs you...whereas ac current leaves you..
the equation says that AC=1.414*dc...but its all about the
amount or energy produced..but if you ask me which is
dangerous its surely.....DC.

when it comes to dangerous, A.C comes first.
BCOZ in cycles comes to zero for a very short duration and at high voltages time is not enough to put your body out of it.
at same voltage level a.c is most dangerous.

dc is more dangerous than ac bcoz in ac the voltage nd
current increases maximum nd decreases to zero it will be
varying but in dc does not varies its constant voltage nd
in an there is a chance for the current to leave abody due
to its alternating nature

DC IS MOST DANGEROUS BCOZ OF ITS CONSTAN MAGNITUDE< AS AC
MAGNITUDE BECOMES ZERO ALSO. BUT IN DC IT NEVER HAPPENS.
SO DC ABOVE 50v is dangerous

It depends on your "amps" (amperage output) An automobiles
DC ignition coil produces around 10,000 volts, yet it is
less dangerous than 110v AC that comes out of a typical US
wall socket. Why, because the amperage produced by the coil
is much lower.

DC will make your muscles contract and you can't let go. AC
does not cause a paralysis at the lower voltages that DC can.

Recently we had experienced following problem All RCCB breakers (connected to the load as well as spares) connected to various UPS systems at various floors at a high rise building tripped during a power break down and upon starting up of generator. This Generator is recently inducted into the installation. Can any one explain the reason behind this tripping. Regards Viswanathan
