Answer / muhammad zubair
electrical power factor is the ratio b/w actual power(kw)
and apperent power (kva).and also ratio b/w resistence and
impedence of a circuit.when ohmic resistance and impedence
will come equal power factor will becom unity.we can
improve pf to control the inductive reactance of a coil.

Answer / surya
whenever in a.c. current pasing through an inductive cicuit
like motor, choke of tube light.it is taking more current as
per its actul current.due to this extra current device
taking more power(apparent power ) as per rated power(true
power)
now ,Power factor is the ratio of true power or watts to
apparent power or volt amps
it is alwas lagging.

practically power factor calculate the reactive power
.higher the power factor (as approaches to 1) lesser the
reactive power.
