Answer / arasu

we have two types of interlocking the one is electrical
interlocking another is mechanical interlocking.both of
them used for EB/DG chaneover or reversing of motor.so we

PLZ EXPLAIN THE INTERLOCKING AND CONTROLLING OF CONTACTORS????HOW CAN I DO THAT? ..

Answer / harikumar

here contactors means power comtactor or control contactors
for contol the motor for eg:, in such cases the motor
control is for btoh direction of rotation, hence one
contactor for closkwise rotation and other for anto clock
wise rotation, and two pushbuttons for sepatare controll,
if by mistake someone press two pushbuttons and it can
damage the winnding and power failure due o mis match of
faces, thus the coil supply to one contactor coil is given
throiuh the interlocking of opther contactorso that if one
contator holds the other will not holds or gets on, thus
protction is made.
