What is the secondry voltage of 420kV Current Transformer ,
the rated current is 2600A
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
If the rated current of the CT is 2600/5 amps, then the
secondary voltage will be (420000x2600)/5= 218400000
(i.e.218400kv)
Is This Answer Correct ? | 5 Yes | 1 No |
Correction to answer: If the secondary is open voltage will
be 218400 kv and it will be '0', if it is shortcircuited

I dont thing 420kV CT available. If it available CT
secondary voltage is proposnal to Burdon. Ex if a meter
takes 10VA if CT sec. 5A than Voltage will be 2V

Answer / ashish patil
secondary voltage is 0. Bcz it is current transformer which
has short circited secondary. O/p is 1A.

3 shows a 415 V, 3-phase generator supplying a 3-phase 415/110 V transformer. Draw the individual and combined impedance diagrams to a base of 10 kVA. Determine the system fault kVA and the fault currents at the 415 V and 110 V busbars for short circuit faults on the transformer input or output terminals. Work in p.u. values of impedances.
If we know the load for generator in KW then how it will be change to amps and also if we know the load in amps how it will change in KW and what Generator is good for that...suppose load is 500 amps 3phase......??
