PRV (Pressure relief valve) is one of the protection
component in the transformer. The main purpose of the PRV
is to protect the expansion of oil during any inside fault
of transformer.
During fault this PRV operate and trip the transformer. So
it can be protected from further damage.

Pressure relief valve is used were air pressure is
maintained .It is pressure relief valve which maintains
pressure.
For e.g.
If in air cylinder 10kg air pressure is maintained, then if
by chance air pressure increases to 11kg the Pressure
relief valve get activates and 1kg pressure release.
This is used for safety reason.

In dc motor starter there is less voltage required for holding contactor that's may why it is called no volt coil. but in ac starter why holding contactor is called no volt coil.
