Reactive power is an imaginary power. Means its presense is
important for the flow of active power. For example, if you
put beer in a glass fastely, what happens a foam appears at
the top of glass. The beer in liquid form settles at the
bottom of glass. Now what ever foam appear at the top of
glass is called reactive power i.e. imginary power(KVAR),
whatever liquid settled down to bottom of glass is apperent
power OR ACTUAL POWER (KW) and the addition of both means
what the total quantity you see in glass is ACTIVE POWER
(KVA).
