You can change the datafile location by using BRTOOLS (
rename datafile) or oracle level command "ALTER DATAFILE
RENAME 'datafile absoulate location' TO " Target Location'.
Prerequsite
1. take the datafile offline
2. copy it to new location
3. submit command
4. remove old file

Yes ,we can move data file to other directory through
Brtools - space management - move data file - data file
name - current location - target location .

No , we can't change the location of existing datafile to
some other directory as control file will not be able to
locate that datafile in database open phase . Database will
not be able to find datafile. Controle file stores the
address of each and every datafile . If we will change the
the location of the datafile controle file will not
recognize it.
It is possible to change the location from exiting
directory only when we specify the new location for
datafile in Controle file
