Positive,negative and zero sequence component of a quantity
is a conceptual idea to explain/understand the behavior of
system under unbalanced conditions.
Under balanced condition only positive sequence component
exists.
However under unbalanced condition net current/voltage is
the vector/phasor sum of positive,negative and zero
sequence components.Positive and negative sequence
components rotates in opposite direction with each other.

why transformer capacity is called KVA and motor capacity is called HP/KW? Why transformer capacity cant call HP/KVA?
