Positive,negative and zero sequence component of a quantity
is a conceptual idea to explain/understand the behavior of
system under unbalanced conditions.
Under balanced condition only positive sequence component
exists.
However under unbalanced condition net current/voltage is
the vector/phasor sum of positive,negative and zero
sequence components.Positive and negative sequence
components rotates in opposite direction with each other.
