WinXP and Win2000 go well beyond "better looking icons"
and "more features". Both utilize NTFS verses FAT32, which
is a more robust file system. Additionally Win2000 and
WinXP Pro include file encryption, and advanced (and I
might add, easier) networking capabilities. Additionally,
security is greatly enhanced over Win95/98.
basically graphicallly winxp is more stronger than win2000
& other difference is switch user option is not available
in win2000 more than one user can be work at one time
and firewall protection is not in win2000

win xp offers plug and play option but whereas in win 2000
we need to intsall usb drivers..thts the basic difference i
know..
