Answer / girish mishra
Yes of course. In interview this may a common question who
are trying in Testing.Ad-hoc testing is a part of testing
activities where a tester can test the application's major
functionalities without prior writting any test cases and
any pre-test plan knowledge.
This ad-hoc testing is used only for tester's learning and
understanding. There is expectation of any output or results.
Where the project is small and time limit is little you can
go for ad-hoc testing even without any requirement
specifications.

Yes,we can test the product witout reuirements or
reuirements are their but not understandable or their is no
time to go through the requirements or their is no exact
requirements.
In this stage we will explore the application identify all
possible scenario and test the product now we will start
testing the application according to identified scenario
and document those scenario.
In this stage of testing we will use our domain knowldge or
we will be communicating with the customer or both the

Answer / nishat
The answer is No.
A tester has to test the application so as to meet the
requirements.
Adhoc testing is a testing phase where the tester checks
the functionality of a system rather than testing it
against the requirements, but eventually by the end the
tester has to test the application satisfying the
requirements.

hi ad- hoc testing method can be used in such scenarios,
basically ad-hoc testing is done with out any know reference
documents and but yes quality of the system is never
predictable and success of finding bugs depends heavily on
testers domain knowledge and luck, more on luck than knowledge.
